SportDOG Rechargeable No Bark 10R- Best Dog Bark Collar Description
The SportDOG No Bark 10R is a excellent model for a number of distinct reasons, it uses combination of both sound and vibration to activate the correction mechanism and this guarantees that nothing could possibly make it to emit a correction signal triggered off anything aside from your dogs bark!
The No Bark 10R has 3 different correction modes: Temperament Learning, Progressive Correction or User Select Correction. Within each mode there are 10 different correction levels, allowing for easy adjustment to increase to the next level up if your dog continues to misbehave. The correction level is easily monitored via 3 color indicator lights.
The shock sent from the collar has proven to be much more humane than the usual punishment techniques owners tend to give when punishing their pets, and will in no way harm your dog.
The best feature in this collar is that it comes complete with Rechargeable battery and charger. Most other collars do not come with a rechargeable battery and the battery life can be less than satisfactory, especially if you have to continue to purchase batteries. This worry is erased with this model, and its long life rechargeable battery.
Out of all the Consumer reviews we have researched on barking dog collars, the SportDOG Rechargeable 10R gets the best and most consistent praise from owners. Good words after Good words on this collar when researching what owners have to say about it, the Rechargeable battery is a big selling point for most that purchased initially, but after learning the options and the memory of the corrective settings that it offers and seeing just how good the thing worked for their dogs, keep them coming back to purchase more for other dogs in the house, etc.
Users praise how fast their dogs react to this training technique and how in a lot of cases only after a few zaps how much better their dog behaved and quieted down. Owners have used the 10R on dogs of all shapes and sizes and no complaints of it not working on any of them. This seems to be a top of the line bark control solution and doesn’t look like the owner or the pet can lose going with this collar, it comes highly suggested from current owners/trainers and is sure to make your household a more pleasant environment.

Customer Questions & Answers
Question 1:
Do I have to hold the dog bark collar on my neck cause I use a sports model that I have on my arms and push the button. How can you test the collar exactly to see if its working fine or not?
Answer:
If you see the light illuminate after you rub it on a hard surface as adviced by the company. I do check it on my neck.
Question 2:
If one of our two dogs barks will the sound cause the other dog to get shocked?
Answer:
It will only shock the dog who barked as this collar works on the sound from the dog’s vocal cords. This collar detects a barking sound and a simultaneous vibration occurs.
Question 3:
Not very happy as I received my collar without instructions manual so how am I supposed to use it?
Answer:
You should contact the seller or there should be an instruction manual online. Still I will try my best to explain. First charge the collar till the light goes green. Now hold the button on the side with digital display and the collar is activated. Once you do this it will come on. After that let go and hold the button two lights will display. So each time your dog barks in a sequence there will be a increase in the electric pulses. If you let go and hold the button and it doesn’t work please call the manufacturer they will precisely answer all your questions. Please don’t hold the button for too long as this will power off the collar. Hope this will help you and ever if you have any questions let me know. And if it works on your dog or not let me know.

My two labs are finally behaving themselves.
I've only had this collar for a brief time so I plan on upgrading my review as needed.
I work 12 hours shifts and am gone 14 hours every day for example drive time, so I am unable to crate my dogs for this long of a period of time. Needless to say, it's very costly, and I miss them terribly the week they're gone. One of my dogs is a Doberman who runs the fence and barks at any individual and any creature and does not stop until the person moves in their home or the offending creature is out of sight. I bought this collar so I could begin leaving them house the weeks that I work.
My neighbor agreed to help me educate him with this collar. When the collar continues, he charges and runs the fence line, but the significant difference is he is not barking. I did notice he can complain, shake his head, run around with my other dog, play growl in my other dog, drink, or eat and the collar won't falsely trigger. I had my pet outside while studying and although she had been barking at my neighbour and my Doberman wasn't, the collar didn't go off. I feel the absolute biggest advantage to this collar is that there are fewer false corrections since in order to elicit a jolt, it needs to be put off by the mix of noise (the dog barking) AND vocal cord vibrations. This is why fitting the collar correctly is crucial. If it's too loose, it can not feel the vocal cord vibration, and when it is too tight your dog may develop pressure sores (not to mention I'd think it would be quite uncomfortable). The collar is to be fitted on the neck with the strap directly behind the ears and the box right under the jawbone.[read more="Read More" less="Read Less"]
There are 3 modes of programming using 9 intensity levels. Program 1 raises strength with each bark. Program 2 begins at the bottom level and raises if the dog continues to bark but resets back to the bottom level when the barking stops. Program 3 delivers the identical intensity with each bark. The intensity level in App 3 is preferred by the user.
As mentioned previously, it requires sound AND vibration to be able to trigger.
It's 3 training modes in addition to 9 intensity levels.
Waterproof which is quite important if your dogs have access to the outdoors while wearing this.
Each program mode has another colour blinking light set that's quite bright and can be seen from a distance.
Reasonably priced.
What I do not like or would like to see improved:
It is light-weight at about 4.8 ounce but moderate in size. I'd really like to find a smaller one as I need my puppy to be as comfortable as you can.
It's simple to set as soon as you know how, but it is not intuitive. You have to take some time to read the instructions to get it set right.
I'd like if it would give a warning vibration on the bark and then a static correction when the dog barks again (the Dogtra YS300 does this but is triggered by noise only, which I do not like).
I would love to see it count the amount of barks like the Tri-Tronics Bark Limiter.
Longer probes for puppies with fleshier necks or longer, thicker hair need to be purchased individually.
Would like to find an option to buy a collar which has a safety release feature.
For reference my dog is a 3 year old, male neutered Doberman, which is over 100 pounds. Please see customer pictures to determine how this collar matches him size-wise. I also use program #2 (blue and green lights) that begins at the bottom level and increases in strength when the dog continues to bark. When the dog is quiet, the device resets itself to the bottom degree.
I spent less than $100 with this collar and I have been spending over $700 monthly on daycare/boarding fees. Even if I must replace this collar annually (that I don't expect ), I'm still saving a bunch of money. I will write the coach who proposed this collar and the Sportdog firm a big fat thank you letter!
UPDATE:
I have had this collar for a little over 2 decades now.[/read]

Finally some quiet with this bark collar!
Following four anonymous complaints from the neighbours that brought the authorities to our home we eventually decided to do something about it. I researched the hell out of those things especially after reading a few of the horror stories in the reviews of the other collars. Short story: the puppies are finally acting themselves.
These collars have 3 distinct ways to program them. One, the collar raises the shock level starting from the lowest level once your dog starts barking and then escalates eight amounts until the dog stops. It then remembers the amount required to prevent the barking and starts at this identical amount the next time your dog starts barking. This is the default application, but my wife and I discovered it overly punitive.
The next program starts at the lowest level and escalates until your dog stops but reverts to the bottom level next time your dog begins barking.
The next program gives him the identical shock every time he barks. My wife and I favored that which we considered the most humane program, number two, and it works great. The collar needs a sound and a vibration to buzz the puppy that reduces false discharges.[read more="Read More" less="Read Less"]
The Sportdog was rechargeable, that's what finally sold us and it had more different methods of programming the collar to the ultimate in flexibility. The Remington included apps three and 2 but no escalating shock found in Sportdog's program 1. Since we do not use program 1 which wouldn't have been an issue. Another reason we went with the Sportdog as opposed to the Remington is the Remington, though technically equally as great, is fresh to the industry and I could find no reliable user reviews.
For our puppies, you need to remember to place the collar or the damn mutts will start barking again. My wife wanted our puppies to keep on barking while in the home for the further security and that's been no problem.
Your pet will take some time getting used to the collar and might behave a bit neurotically till they figure out what the hell is happening. To decrease the degree of neurosis, use programs 2 that gives them a opportunity to learn and is less punitive.
Terrific product![/read]
